Services

What services do you offer?

Where are you located?

Speech with Sarah is a mobile speech therapy practice. This means that we come to YOU: your home, your child's daycare or private school, or a nearby library.

Currently, Speech with Sarah provides services in Central Denver: from near Colfax and Sheriden to the Hilltop neighborhood.

Do you take insurance?

Why don't you take my insurance?

Credentialing with and billing insurance is extremely time consuming for providers, and comes with many "strings attached." As a cash pay practice, we can see your child as often as they need for as long as they need with no delays in service due to prior authorizations, referrals, or issues with copays and deductibles.

No time spent billing insurance means we spend more time focusing on your child: their likes, interests, strengths, and what they need most to achieve their goals.

Many insurance companies have specific criteria for approving speech therapy sessions: they require specific diagnoses, specific timelines, specific amounts of services. Not using insurance means your child gets what they need without annoying red tape.

Families always have the option to submit for reimbursement from their insurance. We can provide you with a set of questions to ask your insurance prior to starting services.

In many ways, there is more price transparency with a cash pay practice than going through insurance. You know exactly what you will pay up-front: no coinsurance, no deductibles, no maximum visit allowances, etc.

What does it cost?

Phone consultations are always free.

For other services:

You will be informed of the exact cost of your evaluation or speech appointments prior to your first session.

What are the steps to getting speech therapy?

How long will my child need speech therapy?

Every child is different.

Some children need therapy for multiple years, and some children are ready to "graduate" after about 12 months. Some children even graduate from therapy to come back later to focus on newly challenging sounds.

You will receive ongoing feedback on how your child is doing in terms of working towards their goals.

Do you offer teletherapy sessions?

Teletherapy is an option for most clients. It depends on the age and area of need.

Our preference is in-person sessions, but hybrid and as-needed teletherapy is also an option. We are flexible to meet the needs of your child and your family's busy schedule.
